- Butters is a really good sport!

Breed: Mixed
Gender: Neutered Male
Butters was a foreclosure abandon and left like unwanted patio furniture on a back porch. Well, let me tell you, he is my treasure!!! A more loving, faithful, charming fellow has yet to be found. If you meet him he’ll offer a paw and insist on a pet. He has quite a following of female human admirers, who all call themselves his aunties. He’s not too spoiled, but one of his aunties brings him gourmet dog treats on a regular basis.
On March 18, 2009 Butters saved a baby turtle who had been dropped by a bird. The turtle’s name is Wednesday, after the day we found him. Butters has been very protective of the little turtle and hovers when it’s cleaning time. Wednesday will eventually go to Butter’s Auntie Liz’s house because she has a pond and no turtle-eating birds cruising overhead!

Lil Lula is a happy-go-lucky little girl.
Breed: Basset Hound
Gender: Spayed Female
It takes a certain kind of person to live with a basset hound. Hounds are opinionated, and Lula is definitely opinionated, a little sassy and busy… really busy.
You’ll notice when you walk into a bookstore or pet store that there is no book entitled “Training Tips for the Basset Hound.” Sure, you’ll see “Training Tips for the Golden Retriever” and “Training Tips for the German Shepherd”, but I challenge you to find “Training Tips for the Basset Hound.”
Lula has become quite the predictor of NHL hockey games. Most recently she correctly called the outcome of the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoff hours before the game started. Ultimately, her goal is to get a ride in Lord Stanley’s cup. Though, I really think she’s an Anaheim Ducks fan at heart.

Sizzle is a dear friend of The Red Dog Inn’s innkeeper. He’s a very fortunate little man as he’s only had one owner his entire life! He’s befriended lots of people and is wiser than most of them, but remains faithful to his owner.
Not only was he a competitive endurance horse and a solid trail horse, he’s also a published author! Check out his article here: http://www.wisconsinmorganhorseclub.org/April2008news.pdf There is no horse I trust more than Sizzle. He’s honest, and if he’s going someplace, he’ll take you with him. Case in point, my first trail ride on Sizzle, we rode under a bridge. He heard the train coming and as it whizzed over our heads he waited for me to sit really deep in the saddle and sink my heels before he spun as if to say, “TRAIN!!!!”
You’ll hear from Sizzle from time to time and may even hear about some of the Steeds In Need.
